This training event will have a focus on creating interactive and engaging university workshops for schools and colleges. It has been created following feedback from education liaison, widening participation and outreach professionals who actively deliver university workshops and host visits from schools and colleges throughout the UK. It has been specifically designed for university practitioners working with schools and colleges.
What to expect during the day?
Participants will hear from leading experts from inside and outside the sector to learn about how to create and deliver engaging university workshops that students will remember. This will include tips for building rapport with students, delivering sessions with confidence, and presentation techniques to take away.
In essence, the aim of the training day is to equip practitioners with the necessary tips and tools to enhance their confidence when they deliver university talks and workshops in schools – and host visits at their own institution. Not only will this benefit the practitioners, but it will also enhance the quality of the sessions being provided to the students.
