Liverpool Institute of Performing Art’s (LIPA’s) Get Set summer school is being held this year from Monday 24th – Wednesday 26th July.
Get Set 2023 provides a flavour of what it’s like to study at LIPA for those thinking about studying a degree in performing arts or making performance possible subjects for 2024 entry. It will also help students to:
- Develop practical skills in performing arts or making performance possible subjects.
- Understand how to complete an application to a specialist performing arts institution like LIPA.
- Self-prepare for audition/interviews at specialist performing arts providers.
This summer school is aimed at learners who are currently underrepresented in higher education. So, to take part, as well as being at the end of Year 12, learners must also meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Live in a postcode where participation in higher education has traditionally been low. Students can use our online postcode checker to check if they are eligible.
- Be Black, Asian or from an ethnically diverse background.
- Be in local authority care or have previous experience of being in care.
Get Set participants must also be aged under 18 at the time of the summer school.
The deadline for applications is 26 May.
