Introduction to Supporting Estranged Students – SUN CPD Session

UniConnect programme Southern Universities Network – SUN are delivering this event is suitable for all Education and Youth Practitioners who are working with students over the age of 16. This includes youth workers, local authorities, teachers, tutors, admissions staff outreach staff, Uni Connect staff, third party organisations who support young people applying to university.

What will the training cover?

This introductory online workshop will set you up with an understanding of estrangement, the barriers that students face and what support is available for estranged students entering into university. Over the 1.5 hour online session, you will be given information, techniques and actions that your college, educational or youth setting can do to support estranged students in making applications to university.

How will this benefit me?

This 1.5 hour online session will provide you information around estrangement, key barriers and challenges for estranged students entering into university and what support is available to overcome these barriers as well as contributing to your continuing professional development.
