Skills & Business – Exeter City Council
Exeter City Council is responsible for providing a range of services to local residents and businesses. It also plays an active role in supporting the economic growth and development of the city. As part of this, the council has a focus on Skills, which includes supporting local residents to develop their skills and knowledge. This is alongside developing an understanding of the skills that businesses in the city need in their workforce now and in the future.
There is a great deal of focus on supporting young people and schools, ensuring that they receive high quality careers education, information advice and guidance to support informed decision making about their future opportunities. This also includes supporting educators, parents and influencers to have a better understanding of the careers and employment opportunities that will be available in the city, now and in the future.
