Time for Change Workshops

Part of the Genie Programme (The GENuine Interest in Equality Programme), designed and delivered by Amazing Apprenticeships.

This free Time for Change workshops address the challenges faced by diverse and disadvantaged applicants when it comes to apprenticeships.

  • Time for Change: Because We Care – Monday 10th June, 1pm. Join this webinar with Daisy Falconer of the Carers Trust as we discuss what more can be done to support young carers and young adult carers to access opportunities through apprenticeships.
  • Time for Change: Helping more young people to access apprenticeships – Tuesday 2nd July, 1pm. Since the introduction of the levy, the number of young people starting apprenticeships has been declining. Join this webinar to look at different approaches being taken to disrupt this pattern and ensure more young people and those from disadvantaged backgrounds can access apprenticeships.
  • Time for Change: Neuro-inclusion in ApprenticeshipsTuesday 10th September, 1pm. What more could we be doing in apprenticeships to maximise the talents of neurodivergent individuals? What can we learn from where it’s working well? Join this webinar to hear from expert speakers about their own experiences and to be inspired with ideas to take back to your own organisation.
  • Time for Change: Powering-up opportunities through green apprenticeshipsTuesday 5th November, 1pm. The employer demand for green skills is already on the rise – and this is also being matched by a growing interest from young people (Gen Z) wanting to pursue roles that contribute positively to the environment. Join this webinar to hear from sector experts who are finding new and interesting ways to create opportunities through growth in green skills.
  • Time for Change: The different ways we can support apprentices with additional needsTuesday 3rd December, 1pm. Join this webinar to hear the experiences of apprentices who have received support from their training providers and the difference it has made to their programmes. We will also hear from expert David Curan who will showcase some of the free software available that apprentices may find useful to access.
  • Time for Change:The role of apprenticeships in tackling social mobilityTuesday 14th January 2025, 1pm. Over the last 10 years we have seen a decline in those from lower-socio-economic backgrounds starting apprenticeships, particularly from the younger age groups. Join us to discuss the reasons for this decline, and to hear our experts debate their ideas for reversing this trend.
  • Time for Change: Using apprenticeship levy-transfer to promote social mobility – Friday 7th February 2025, 1pm. Join this webinar to hear from organisations that are using apprenticeship-levy-transfer as a way to support businesses in their local communities, and to positively impact and promote social mobility.

  • Time for Change: Autism and Apprenticeships: This is my story – Tuesday 3rd June 2025, 1pm.  Join this webinar to hear from apprentices and those working with them to learn about different ideas and strategies for ‘what works’ when it comes to autism and apprenticeships.
