The South West Cyber Security Cluster is pleased to announce Secure South West 2022.
This year’s theme is cyber security skills and new blood. The event focuses on skills development and youth engagement for cyber security, providing a uniquely inspirational opportunity for industry, further and higher education, and training and recruitment organisations, to come together to strengthen the South West as a place to base safe online businesses.
The keynote speaker for the event is Erika Lewis, DCMS Director of Cyber Security and Digital Identity. This year DCMS (Government Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) has stepped in to become the lead sponsor for this event, as part of their £2.6bn National Cyber Strategy.
Erika will present the recently published National Cyber Strategy and the strategic role skills development plays in it.
Members of the DCMS skills development team will be in attendance at the event to learn more of the innovative skills development activities underway in the South West and to listen to what industry, academia, education and more importantly, students and those seeking a career change, need to engage in this sector.
The event is hosted by the University of Plymouth on Wednesday 23 March 8.30am – 5pm and will also be streamed online via Zoom.
Visit the Secure South West website for more information (including the full agenda) and to register your place.
