HE Advisors’ Conference at Plymouth Marjon University, on Wednesday 15th May.
This will be an opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from across the city and South West, as well as to take part in some free CPD sessions. Guest keynote speaker Professor Sonia Blandford will be talking to us about ensuring inclusivity in our classrooms, and improving outcomes (attendance, attainment, achievement, and impact of the pandemic) for underperforming students. There will also be a face-to-face presentation with UCAS offering insights from recent changes to personal statements and offering updates and tips re the UCAS Hub. Student Finance England will again be on campus to answer any of your queries and our academic schools are poised and ready to show off their fantastic new courses and their facilities.
There will be a networking lunch and the opportunity to meet other careers leads form across the region. This event is free to attend.

Keynote speaker Professor Emeritus Sonia Blandford. Professor Sonia Blandford is one of the country’s foremost experts on Improving the education and aspirations of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. She is founder and CEO of the award-winning educational charity Achievement for All, which provides programmes to improve outcomes for children and young people aged two to 19 years.
12 – 1pm
Campus Tour and visit to Academic Schools. Our Academic Deans will tour you around their facilities and chat informally about their new courses and USPs. An opportunity to ask questions on behalf of your students and find out why Marjon could be the perfect choice.
