Saturday 7th November 10am – 1.30pm, at University of Plymouth, Roland Levinsky Building
Become a Research Explorer and discover more about the child health research taking place at the University of Plymouth within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. We would also love to hear your ideas about how children, young people, and families can be involved in research in ways that are fun, meaningful, and inclusive.
The event will be hosted by the Child Health Nursing team, researchers, postgraduate research students, and Well Connected. There will be a range of interactive tabletop activities for children and families to explore together. Helping you learn more about research and the child health projects currently taking place within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Children and young people will have opportunities to share their thoughts through creative activities, games, drawing, storytelling, and other hands-on experiences. Parents, carers, and community groups will also be invited to share their ideas about what helps families feel supported and included in research.
The aim of the event is to use your ideas, experiences, and feedback to help us develop a Children’s Research Advisory Group and strengthen parent and family involvement within our existing Patient and Public Engagement group. This is the first step to build a welcoming community where children and families will help shape future child health research.
During booking, we will only ask for the name of the supervising adult in attendance and the amount of tickets you require, though would be grateful please if you could provide any further access or dietary requirements.
Lunch provided from 12 onwards.
