The University of Exeter are running their essay competitions for the 2024/25 academic year, starting with Modern Languages and Geography, which opens on Monday 9th September. It is open to students from Year 11-13 studying any Level 2 or Level 3 course. Students can either submit a 1,000 word essay or a 6-7 minute video. There will be two prizes. One for the best essay (1000 words), and one for the best video entry (6-7 minutes) of a £100 voucher and University of Exeter hoodie awarded to the winner of each category.
Modern Languages

Geography
- Our oceans matter. Discuss
- What are the opportunities and challenges posed by diving the study of geography into physical or human geography?
- How will climate change impact our society?
