Higher education is constantly changing. Is your knowledge up to date?
With the arrival of higher and degree apprenticeships, recent alterations to student loans, and an ever-evolving landscape of subjects and qualification types, it is easy for knowledge to become out of date. We recognise how important it is to surround students with teachers and trusted adults who are equipped to provide accurate and up-to-date information about higher education to improve their chances of making confident and well-informed decisions about their futures.
Free one-hour CPD session
Next Steps South West are delighted to present a free one-hour CPD session to ensure all of your staff have access to comprehensive and current information about higher education. This can be delivered at a time and location suitable for you.
This CPD session will focus on how students can progress onto any university-level study. There will be an emphasis upon practical strategies that staff can easily implement. These will help students become more aware of the HE opportunities available to them and is in line with Gatsby Benchmark 7. After this CPD session, we will provide you with a range of resources (including posters, rulers, mouse mats and desk calendars) designed to provide key information, break down barriers and provoke conversations about higher education.
Timings – This session lasts 1 hour, which can be reduced to 50 minutes if necessary.
Cost – Free of charge.
Attendees – This session is designed to be delivered to either all staff or all teaching staff, as appropriate within your school / college.
